Have a great Fourth of July

Firs off I want to thank you for taking the time to read my newsletter. I write under two different names: Tamia Dawn Osburn and Lynette Springs.
Writing as Tamia Dawn Osburn... The Wizard which is book 4 in my Wiccan/Alliance series has been reviewed at Fallen Angels Reviews. I got thee out of five Angels.

Lynette Springs will be making her debut soon at Titan Press with Haunted Investigators and with Genie in a Bottle at Stardust Press

Haunted Investigators is a tale of behind the scenes look of a paranormal TV show. Even though this team of investigators hunts haunted houses, they also try to solve what really happened.

The first investigations takes place in a small community in California called Tevistion, the community does exist.

The unsolved murder does exist as well but I've changed the name and location of the family to help protect any surviving family and friends. The outcome of the murder is purely fiction since the murdered family was never solved.

My heart and prayers goes out to this family.

The second part of the book takes us to the desert valley of California and is pure fiction as well. It was all made up in my demented mind.

Genie in a Bottle is both Paranormal and Sci-fi and time travel.

Thalia Vasco was a genie in 67 B.C. She was imprisoned in a bottle floating in space because she refused to grant her master his wish for immortality. If the bottle was found and she was released within 24 hours, the bottle would vanish until she was found once again.

It took almost four thousand years until she was found by Rhys Whelan. During a heated attack on his ship, the bottle broke, releasing Thalia from her imprisonment. She was finally free at last.

Rhys Whelan was the captain of his ship when he was doing a routine practice run with his fighter pilots. He came across a pink-gem gilded bottle floating among an asteroid field he hid in. Someone should’ve told him that bringing an unknown bottle on board his ship would bring him nothing but bad luck. And a mystery woman on his ship. Also a breed of dogs that was long extinct.

Rhys should’ve left the woman named Thalia alone when she showed that she wasn’t interested in him but he couldn’t. Not when every time he looked at her and his heart began racing. Not when he desired her more than anything possible even more than the mission at hand to Liran.

One kiss wouldn’t be enough for Captain Rhys Whelan during the trip to a war-torn planet that General Vallerii had sent him to meet with an informant. The informant had something that the Dominion needed to know and that someone was selling illegal weapons for the cause on Liran.

The meeting was to take place but it never happened since someone had dropped a bomb on the team causing Rhys to be seriously injured. Thalia had no choice but to heal him then told him the truth about who and what she was.

Rhys finally found out who and what Thalia really was and was stunned. Once the surprise wore off, he couldn’t seem to keep his hands off of her. Together they burned the sheets in his bedroom while trying to figure what Gente, the rebel leader on Liran wanted. Rhys gave him a private meeting after Thalia went down to the planet and noticed that he could be trusted.

Thalia also discovered that General Vallerii was also Thorne. When she tried to convince Rhys with the truth about and he wouldn’t listen. Until one day, Sabrina, Thalia’s sister and Thorne’s genie finally made her escape onto Rhys’ ship. There, Rhys comes to terms that Thalia was telling the truth about General Vallerii.

Thalia makes a clone of Sabrina to keep Thorne at bay while they escaped to Earth, Rhys’ home planet. Thalia makes a plan of her own to keep Sabrina away from Thorne forever.

    The Wizard

Daemon, wizard of the planet Wiccan, is on Earth looking for the long-lost twin sister of Phania, the dead wife of his friend Kosek. Before her death, Phania had admitted that she falsified the results of the Mate Search, so that Kosek would marry Phania instead of her twin, who was his true mate. While Daemon is on Earth, he begins to have Shared Dreams, which is a part of the Mate Search process, so he knows that his own true mate is somewhere on the planet. Since the dreams emanated from her rather than from himself, he also knows her to be a strong, if untrained wizard in her own right.

Leeza and Megan have been friends from the time they met as children in the orphanage. Leeza never knew her parents; Megan’s parents died when she was very young. Now, the two women are sheriff’s deputies in the town of Moonscroft, California. Though neither has revealed it to the other, they are both having disturbing dreams which are keeping them on edge and worried. When Daemon and Kosek locate Leeza and Megan, they must take them home to the planet Wiccan and convince them to stay as their mates.

This is another book in Osburn’s series about the planet Wiccan. I must be honest and say that, in my opinion, the other books in the series are better than this one. Part of the reason for this is, I believe, a result of the author employing several plot threads in parallel, which seemed to slow the pace of the story down. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the book, and think it would be a good summer or beach read. The characters are interesting and have legitimate problems and motivations for their actions. The male/female love scenes are quite steamy and sensual, but not terribly graphic. I loved going back to the world of Wiccan, and look forward to reading more about its people in further installments.

Opps...my alter ego did it again...LOL
I have to hand it to my alter ego... she did it again. She wrote an entire story without bothering to tell me about it. Her latest is called Genie in a Bottle. This is sort of a time-travel, paranormal and fututistic romance. I'll let you all know about it as she tells me what the story line is about. Wait a minute...she's whispering something in my ear. Okay she's telling me what the story is about.

    The Publishing World
It's very easy to become a writer. Everyone can do it. Getting into the publishing world is hard. Not every day you can get into a Publisher of your choice but don't let it get you down. There are several online publishers out there in cyberspace to choose from. But there are some that you have to look out for. Like Triskelion Publishing for one. This company doesn't treat their writers as equals. They're editing team is sloppy and can't get the work done on time and has to be pushed back for later release date. Sometimes not once but twice. Then they give you cover art that's sooo poorly that it makes you wonder if you should buy the book and it's not even the way you described. When you start asking them questions about your upcoming release and the exact date, they don't even bother to answer your questions and yet they're always on-line chatting with their favorite authors who seems to keep getting published ahead of you. Another thing, they don't even bother to show you the cover art before it's even posted and and the editing process is cut short to the release date that the author's work is poorly done and the reviewer's are left wondering who the book even managed to published in the first place. So writer beware about this company, it's not really a fit company to be with and they treat their authors like a piece of shit.

    Another Story I've just finished
Hi all, I just finished another story. This one deals with ghost hunters. The title of this story is called Haunted Investigators. Here's a brief synopsis:

The Spirit Seekers, a paranormal team, were sent to investigate the Villiagio House in Teviston, California. An entire family was brutally murdered and it was left unsolved for ninety-six years.
Jennifer Stewart and Zane Boyd was a part of the six-member team. They were the only two single people and were stuck sharing an RV together during the investigation. Jennifer also happened to be the only psychic and was the granddaughter of the producer for the show. She was doing this as a favor for her grandfather and was suppose to be temporarily until Alissa, the other psychic to come from maternity leave.
Zane, a cameraman for the team, had his eye on Jennifer since the moment she came into the team. Sharing the RV left him wanting her. He wasn’t sure if he could control his passion and his body from her.
The investigation grew more intense as the week went on. So did the passion between Zane and Jennifer. When the investigation at the Villiagio house and the mystery surrounding it came to end and the team headed back to L. A. The fires continued to burn between them.
Another assignment was handed to The Spirit Seekers, this time to the Mojave Desert. They were to find out what actually happened to The Majestic Cult and the mass massacre of the people. But someone or something lurking in the shadows doesn’t want the truth to be known. When the houses they were sent to investigate were destroyed and one of the team members were shot in the process, they had no choice but to leave.
Edward Stewart, Jennifer’s grandfather and owner of the studio put the team on a temporary vacation until he had the problem at hand solved. Jennifer and Zane continued to investigate the compound on their own with the information they had at hand.
When Edward turned up missing, Jennifer got a call in the middle of the night to meet someone if she wanted to see her grandfather alive. When she was about to learn the truth about the house, Zane turned up and the one person, Diane O’Connor, whole knew the truth shot her and her grandfather.
Jennifer survived but her grandfather didn’t. While in the operating room, she learned the entire truth about her grandfather and the cult she was sent to investigate.

    What a week...
This week has been hectic for my household, you know the same old routine when school is about to start. The going out and make sure the kiddos are ready for that first day of school. Clothes and school supplies are in high demand with having three kids. Well, I also started work on a sequel, A lover's Star. This story is the sequel to Galaxy's Lovers. This is Teah's story. She was the old ball in GL who can see things before they happen. Once I get the story line straightened out, I'll be sure to keep you all posted.

    Cheers

I just recieved another contract from Triskelion Publishing
Yesterday, I received my second contract with Triskelion Publishing for Galaxy's Lovers. This is my female gladiator, who meets a man from another world. Here's what's it's about: Kyle Yanez is a commander with The Dominion. One afternoon he received an urgent message from his father, General Shadow Yanez. The message was full of static that Kyle couldn’t make out what he was saying. The only thing Kyle knew was that his father was in trouble, on the planet Nerva.
Kyle then gathered his crew and quickly made haste through space to the one planet that wasn’t a part of The Dominion. When he finally arrived at Nerva, he was surprised at how barbaric the planet was. And the blood sport that was being performed by women, it was total shock.
Kara Godar is a woman that was bred to become a warrior in the battles that were being held in the city of Bethel. Everyday she was being tormented by her own sister, Chandra. One day she came across a stranger in her fair city and decided to follow him since he looked out of place on Nerva. When she discovered his true identity and the real reason why he was on Nerva, she decided to help him. Kara felt a strong attraction to Kyle and knew that he felt the same way but it was forbidden for Kara to act on the impulse. But she didn’t care, she knew that she had to have him and she did during one night of hot passion.
Kyle gritted his teeth during one of the battles that Kara fought in. He didn’t want to believe that it was his people who started the blood sport more than a thousand years ago. He needed to stop the battles and find the mass-destruction weapon that his crew found on the planet. When Kyle thought his father was dead he was even more surprised to learn that Shadow was held captive by Chandra and her cohorts.
One day, during a heated battle and Kara’s team was losing, her own sister tried to kill her with a poisoned dagger. Kyle raced from his seat to save his lover’s life. The only place to do it was on his ship.
Together, Kara and Kyle found a love and danger when they uncovered the ultimate weapon and Chandra’s plot for revenge since the day Kara was born.
